Nick Donnellan listens to this Vol.8

2/21 Down tempo/ Electro house Pt.1

Here we find ourselves on another fine Sunday afternoon. More often than not I use a chunk of my Sunday afternoon to be productive with setting up my week ahead. I’ll also do some creative writing and program training for myself and/or clients. Another fairly common theme amongst all of this is the type of music I will listen to. The genres of down tempo electronic, electro house and even ambient house will usually fill my living room as I get things done. This music is used as a que to get productive as it’s what my mind is used to hearing when I sit down with these particular objectives in mind.

Do you do this also? Playing the similar type of music every time you are doing activities where you would like to produce your best efforts.

Habitual working environments can be made by putting yourself in the same environment every time you are executing specific tasks and outside of those specific tasks, nothing else is to happen in that environment. Keep it sacred, keep it for you and your work only. Sit in that same chair, drink out of that same coffee mug, play that same music. After some time you will find that your mind slips into it’s work or creative mode that little bit easier…You might even crave getting to this part of your day/week.

So here you have it. My first part to some of my creative sounds that help me get into the headspace I need to get things done.

For more sounds I’m listening to on any given day, give my Instagram account a follow at Nickdonnellanlistenstothis (@nickdonnellanlistenstothis) • Instagram photos and videos.

Please enjoy 2/21 Down tempo/ Electro house Pt.1 in this fine month of February.
